Role Description The CLOUD SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT – AWS/Azure will design, implement, and maintain cloud solutions for enterprise clients, with a primary focus on AWS and Azure environments. This contract role is hybrid, based in Jersey City, NJ, with some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing business and technical requirements, developing scalable solution architectures, and leading cloud migration and integration initiatives. The architect will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and stakeholders, to ensure solutions align with business processes and compliance standards. The role also involves providing consulting guidance, documenting architectures and best practices, and troubleshooting complex cloud-related issues to ensure reliability, security, and performance.

Qualifications

• Strong solution architecture skills, including designing scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions in AWS and Azure.
• Consulting experience, with the ability to gather requirements, advise stakeholders, and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Background in software development, with familiarity in modern development practices, APIs, and cloud-native application design.
• Experience with system and application integration, including working with middleware, microservices, and data integration patterns.
• Understanding of business process design and optimization, and the ability to align technical solutions with operational workflows.
• Hands-on experience with cloud security, identity and access management, networking, and cost optimization in AWS/Azure.
• Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional, hybrid teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect) are highly beneficial.
• Experience in enterprise environments or financial services settings is a plus.
