Picture Framer/Production Jr. Manager Trainee Overview

Emphasis on Design, quality, team player, customer consultation and satisfaction with service and product.
6-8 years in Custom Framing of Fine art and Memorabilia Experience Desired
Education Required:
Undergraduate Degree in Art, Photography, Graphics Design, or other Visual Arts field of study.
Design Responsibilities:

• Assist clients in Design and technical solutions for custom framing needs.
• Provide frame design options for their originals paintings, jerseys, photographs, certificates, mirrors, and memorabilia. Examples of design options include shadowboxes, canvas and jersey stretching, mounting archival art, mat selection, frame selection, and glass selection.
• Enter frame order into specialized framing software that includes the necessary details for production.

Production Responsibilities

• Use drymount machine for preparing art for framing.
• material ordering and receiving
• Use mat cutting machine software for designing mats including single and multiple openings, single and double layers, bottom weighting, reverse bevels, and depth of cut.
• Use mitre saw to cut wood moulding and fillets with high accuracy prior to frame assembly.
• Use underpinner to assemble moulding.
• Cut glass and acrylic using the cutting machine with precision so it fits well within the frame
• Final Fitting and quality control
• Putty frame corners as needed.

Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour

• Bachelor’s (Preferred)

• Picture Framing: 6 years (Preferred)
• digital printing: 1 year (Preferred)
• social media marketing: 1 year (Preferred)
• custom picture frame design: 6 years (Preferred)
• art gallery: 4 years (Preferred)
• custom picture frame production: 4 years (Preferred)
