Position Description:

• We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Angular, JavaScript, GraphQL, Confluent Kafka, PostgreSQL, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• The ideal candidate will design, develop, test, and maintain scalable enterprise applications while following clean coding, security, architecture, and software engineering best practices.
• The candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, project managers, and cross-functional engineering teams throughout the complete software development lifecycle, from ideation and design through deployment and production support.
• Strong experience with Agile development, DevOps, CI/CD, cloud environments, application performance monitoring, and relational databases is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write high-quality code that satisfies customer needs and strives for simplicity, clarity, and testability, in a collaborative team environment.
• Collaborate with stakeholders (e.g., business stakeholders, product owners, project managers, and end users) to understand functional and non-functional requirements.
• Investigate and propose business and technical solutions to development and design problems, participating in scope of work estimation and forecasting.
• Promote and investigate architecture, design, implementation, and security standards and best practices.
• Participate in code reviews or use collaborative programming techniques to promote high quality business outcomes.
• Improve performance of existing software by diagnosing and resolving critical issues across multiple skill teams.
• Adhere to established development practices and processes. Coach other junior software engineers.

Required Skills and qualifications:

• Strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and Microservices
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and Angular for full-stack application development
• Experience developing and integrating GraphQL APIs and RESTful services
• Hands-on experience with Confluent Kafka and event-driven/messaging architectures
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL and relational database technologies
• Experience developing and deploying applications in GCP or other cloud environments
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, development standards, and security best practices
• Experience with application performance monitoring and troubleshooting, preferably using Dynatrace
• Strong knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD principles and practices
• Experience working in Agile software development environments
• Proven ability to write clean, simple, maintainable, testable, and high-quality code
• Experience participating in code reviews, collaborative programming, and technical design discussions
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex production and performance issues
• Ability to understand application architecture, technology stacks, codebases, and their relationship to business objectives
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with business stakeholders, product owners, project managers, and engineering teams
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple technical teams
• Demonstrated willingness to learn and adopt new technologies, frameworks, and engineering practices
• Experience mentoring or coaching junior software engineers
• 6+ years of IT experience with 4+ years of software development experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
• Experience in the financial services or automotive domain is preferred
