Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to oversee, direct, and manage our commercial and industrial electrical installation and construction projects. You will act as the critical bridge between our clients, general contractors, and our field crews.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in electrical trades, a sharp eye for project financials, excellent communication skills, and the leadership ability to keep projects moving safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities):

• Project Execution: Manage commercial and industrial electrical construction projects from inception to closeout, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and up to code.
• Team Leadership: Collaborate with field foremen and journeymen, scheduling manpower and ensuring field crews have the resources, materials, and information they need to succeed.
• Financial Management: Track project costs, manage budgets, oversee material procurement, and handle change orders efficiently (without the usual corporate red tape).
• Client & Contractor Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for General Contractors, facility managers, and owners, maintaining Moyer’s reputation for excellence and clear communication.
• Safety & Quality Control: Ensure all projects adhere to OSHA safety standards and meet Moyer Electric’s high standards of quality craftsmanship.

What We’re Looking For (Requirements):

• Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of project management experience specifically within the electrical contracting industry (Commercial/Industrial construction experience is required).
• Field Knowledge: A strong background in electrical work (holding a Journeyman or Master Electrician license is a major plus, though not strictly required if management experience is extensive).
• Skills: Proficiency with project scheduling tools, and blue-print reading.
• Traits: Independent, self-motivated, and comfortable taking on responsibility. You must be a team player who encourages field crews and maintains excellent rapport with clients.
• Location: Must be able to reliably commute to our Elkhart, IN office and visit regional job sites as required.
