Job Description:

We are seeking applications from Architectural assistants Part II or RIBA/ARB Registered Architects with a demonstrable track record in both residential and commercial projects, and minimum 4-5 years experience in the UK. Must be proficient in Revit.

About us:

We are SMA, a dynamic studio based in North London, Barnet, with ambitious plans to expand significantly in the next 18 months. Our approach fuses design flair with commercial intelligence, enabling homeowners and property developers to realise their vision with expert guidance.

Founded in 2016 by Fadi Shawkat, SMA draws on AJ Top 20 experience from Scott Brownrigg and Tier One construction expertise from Kier Construction.

Recently, we have secured significant partnerships with commercial clients and are now looking for an experienced Architectural Assistant to support a growing pipeline of work and help drive our studio’s expansion.

Requirements

• Architectural Assistant Part II OR RIBA/ARB Registered Architect
• MUST BE BASED IN (OR AROUND) LONDON, UK.
• Advanced proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, Vectorworks) and Adobe Creative Suite. Revit is our primary tool and is extensively used in our studio.
• Minimum 4-5+ years’ experience as an Architectural Assistant (Part two) in the UK, with proven success delivering both residential and commercial projects.
• Strong visual communication and design presentation capabilities, with the ability to convey ideas clearly to clients and stakeholders.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience preparing reports, specifications, and client presentations.
• Meticulous, organised, and able to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities efficiently.
• Team-oriented mindset and willingness to contribute to a small, agile studio.
