Job Description
About the role
London Devices is a fast growing medical device start up (currently in stealth mode), looking for a hands-on Executive Assistant to support the executive and leadership team day-to-day. You’ll get close-up exposure to how a start-up runs, including systems, HR, admin and UK/US operations. It’s a structured, supervised learning opportunity, not just an admin job. This position is ideal for a recent graduate or someone with 1-2 years of graduate experience. You’ll report directly to the CEO, with regular check-ins and feedback built in, giving you the opportunity to develop skills that translate well into project management, operations, or broader leadership and founder roles as you progress in your career.
What you’ll do
- Support the executive team in preparing board packs and materials, and coordinate distribution of board minutes
- Help maintain investor materials such as pitch decks, reports and updates
- Coordinate all domestic and international travel, itineraries and shipping
- Organise company events and manage general office administration
- Maintain IT services, subscriptions and support tools, and assist with CRM input
- Support recruitment admin, onboarding and day-to-day HR processes
- Streamline financial payments for subscriptions and other admin
- Support integration of UK and US operations
- Assist with invoicing, purchase orders, reconciliations and stock/inventory admin
About you
- A recent graduate of any discipline, though business-related backgrounds are a plus.
- Genuinely curious about how a start-up works, whether your long-term goal is starting your own company or working your way towards an executive role within one.
- Happy to wear many hats and get stuck into the unglamorous jobs alongside the interesting ones.
- Organised, discreet and comfortable juggling admin, people and operational tasks.
Learning, supervision & career path
This role is designed as a structured learning opportunity. You’ll be directly supervised by the executive team (CEO and CTO), with regular one-to-ones and feedback to help you build genuine operational and leadership experience.
Over time you’ll take on more responsibility and visibility across the business, with the potential of this eventually leading to an Operations Lead role at London Devices.
What’s on offer
- £40,000-45,000 salary p.a
- 43 days’ annual leave
- Hybrid working — 1 or 2 days working from home
- Direct mentorship from the CEO and close exposure to every part of the business
