Position Name: Data Engineer – Junior/ Senior/ Lead

Location: Hyderabad, Pune, Chennai, Bangalore

Role Summary:

Design, implement, and optimize data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric and Databricks. Migrate legacy SQL Server objects and ensure data quality and lineage across medallion architectures.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design and build Bronze, Silver, and Gold pipelines in Microsoft Fabric and Databricks
  • Implement Cascade 1.0 and 2.0 merge logic in the Silver layer, handling new and nulled columns
  • Migrate legacy SQL Server objects (tables, views, stored procedures) into Fabric notebooks and pipelines
  • Develop PySpark transformations and Delta Lake models, tuning for performance and cost
  • Establish data-quality gates, lineage, and validation against source systems
  • Collaborate with report engineers and QA to deliver governed semantic models

What We’re Looking For (Must-Haves):

  • 5+ years of data engineering experience building production data pipelines
  • Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Pipelines, OneLake) and/or Databricks
  • Strong PySpark and advanced SQL/T-SQL skills; experience with Delta Lake and medallion architecture
  • Working knowledge of Power BI datasets and semantic models

Good to Have (Optional – only if mentioned):

  • Experience migrating legacy SSIS/SQL Server ETL to a modern lakehouse
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory
