Job Description
We at Arm are crafting the future of Software-Defined Vehicles and Robotics driven by Physical AI by building next-generation reference software platforms for advanced compute subsystems. We are looking for a passionate and highly skilled Principal Software Engineer to join our growing team and help drive this exciting transformation
You will lead key technical initiatives in multiple engineering domains. You will collaborate with software leads, architects, and program management teams. Your goal is to deliver robust, scalable, highly optimized system solutions that demonstrate the full potential of Arm platforms.
This is a great opportunity for engineers who enjoy working across the complete software stack — from low-level system firmware and operating systems to middleware and application development. You will have the chance to tackle intricate technical problems, influence architecture decisions, and contribute to innovative progress in physical systems based on artificial intelligence.
Beyond technical excellence, we are looking for individuals who are passionate about building high-performing teams, mentoring engineers, and fostering a strong culture of collaboration and innovation.
If you are excited about groundbreaking technologies, eager to work on industry-defining solutions, and motivated to help build an exceptional engineering team at Arm, we would love to hear from you.

You will own the design and implementation of scalable test infrastructures, robust automation frameworks, and modern quality assurance practices that ensure delivery of high-performance, reliable software solutions.
In this role, you will work closely with developers, architects, technology managers, and cross-functional teams to understand system-level firmware and software requirements, develop comprehensive test strategies, and build automated validation solutions across end-to-end software stack. You will also drive the bring-up and integration of industry-standard open-source frameworks and tools, establish efficient test environments, and continuously improve software quality, performance, and development efficiency.
This position offers the opportunity to influence platform-level engineering decisions, tackle sophisticated technical challenges, and contribute to cutting-edge innovations in Physical AI systems.
In addition to technical leadership, you will mentor and guide a distributed software engineering team, fostering a strong culture of collaboration, innovation, technical excellence, and continuous learning.
