Cross Electric and Communications is a family owned and operated electrical and communications contractor based in Indianapolis, specializing in multi-family residential construction. Our project portfolio spans the Indianapolis metro area, with the majority of work located throughout the donut counties (Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Johnson, Boone, Madison, Morgan, and Shelby), along with select projects extending up to 120 miles from Indianapolis.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Construction Project Manager to lead a multi-family residential project from groundbreaking through final walkthrough. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced project manager looking for their next challenge, or for a seasoned electrician ready to transition out of the field and into a leadership role where your hands-on knowledge becomes your greatest asset.

Your Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary onsite point of contact, coordinating daily with general contractor and other trades to keep the project moving forward.
• Develop and manage internal crew schedules to ensure manpower aligns with project milestones and deadlines.
• Evaluate task completion and quality across the project, identifying issues early and driving them to resolution.
• Anticipate project needs and proactively communication with all parties to prevent delays.
• Partner with office staff on project documentation, change orders, and progress reporting.

What we’re looking for

• Previous construction project management experience, OR experience as a licensed/journeyman electrician ready to move from the tools into a management role
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and construction sequencing (multi-family experience is a major plus)
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build productive working relationships with GCs and other trades
• Self-motivated with strong organizational and scheduling skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Team-oriented individual
• Procore experience is a major plus.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay: $28 - $38 per hour, depending on experience.
• Bonus: Annual profit-sharing bonus program
• Vehicle: Company vehicle or vehicle allowance provided, depending on project assignment.

• Retirement: 401(k) with 100% employer match on the first 4% of salary.
