Staff Full Stack AI Engineer

We are hiring a Staff AI Engineer for a growing US technology company building AI powered products for the restaurant and delivery industry.

Location: Miami or New York

This is a hands on role for a product focused engineer who can take loosely defined ideas from concept through production. You will own the full stack, including frontend, backend, data, model integrations, deployment, and monitoring.

This is not a machine learning research or basic prompt engineering role. The focus is building reliable AI products that solve real problems for restaurants, operators, and customers.

What You Will Build

• AI agents, RAG systems, tool calling, and structured outputs
• LLM powered products using OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, or open models
• Evaluation systems, telemetry, and user feedback loops
• Restaurant operations, delivery optimization, and customer tools
• Complete applications using TypeScript, Python, and modern web technologies

The Ideal Candidate

• Eight or more years of software engineering experience
• Three or more years building production full stack applications
• Production experience with LLM APIs, agents, RAG, evaluations, and vector stores
• Strong TypeScript and Python development experience
• Able to independently own projects from initial idea through deployment
• Comfortable working quickly in an ambiguous startup environment
• Public examples of products, side projects, demos, or open source contributions

Nice to Have

• AI products launched independently with real users
• Experience with agent frameworks and production LLM tooling
• Experience in restaurants, marketplaces, logistics, delivery, or ecommerce
