Senior Software Engineer (Golang + Java)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with 5+ years of software development experience, primarily focused on Golang. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in building scalable, high-performance backend systems and microservices, along with hands-on experience working with Kubernetes in cloud-native environments. Basic exposure to Java (0-1 year) is desirable for supporting and maintaining existing services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and microservices using Golang.
• Architect and implement high-performance, reliable, and secure distributed systems.
• Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external services.
• Deploy, monitor, and manage applications in Kubernetes environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, DevOps, QA, and Architecture.
• Participate in system design discussions, code reviews, and technical decision-making.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term solutions.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automation initiatives.
• Support and enhance existing Java-based services as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Golang (primary development language).
• Experience designing and developing microservices and distributed systems.
• Solid understanding of Kubernetes concepts, deployment, scaling, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, gRPC, and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Proficiency in databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or similar.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, design patterns, and system design.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 0-1 year of experience with Java
• Experience with messaging platforms such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or NATS.
• Knowledge of observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Open Telemetry.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Helm, etc.)
