Project Manager II – Electrical Transmission and Substation

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets for electrical transmission and substation projects.
• Lead project teams, assigning tasks and monitoring progress to ensure milestones are met.
• Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, and services required for project execution.
• Monitor and control project costs, providing regular updates and reports to management.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, industry regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain clear communication with stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
• Resolve technical and logistical challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and closeout reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of project management experience in electrical transmission and substation projects.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong knowledge of electrical transmission systems, substation design, and construction practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with project management software and tools.
• PMP certification or equivalent is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must pass a background and drug screening.

Work Environment

This position may require travel to project sites and occasional evening or weekend work, depending on project demands. The Project Manager II must be able to work in both office and field environments.
