Lead Data Engineer – AI & Data Platforms

Job Type: Contract-to-Hire

About the Role

We are looking for a Lead Data Engineer – AI & Data Platforms to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale data platforms and AI-powered analytics solutions. This role combines deep expertise in data engineering with hands-on experience in Generative AI, LLMs, and cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of enterprise data platforms, data warehouses, and analytics solutions.
  • Build scalable cloud-based data pipelines using Snowflake and modern data engineering tools.
  • Design AI/GenAI solutions using LLMs, RAG, AI agents, and natural language interfaces .
  • Develop secure, governed AI solutions following enterprise best practices.
  • Mentor engineering teams and collaborate with business stakeholders.
  • Drive CI/CD, automation, Agile delivery, and engineering best practices.

Required Skills

  • 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Data Architecture .
  • Strong expertise in SQL, ETL, Data Modeling, and Data Warehousing .
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms.
  • Experience with LLMs, RAG, Prompt Engineering, AI Agents, and GenAI solutions .
  • Finance, Investment Banking, or Capital Markets domain experience is required.
  • Strong knowledge of AI governance, security, and modern SDLC.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
