**Network Security Engineer NYC Hybrid $130k + Benefits**

I’m supporting a live requirement for an experienced Network Security Engineer to join a major financial services environment in NYC .

This is a hands-on infrastructure role supporting a large-scale production network security environment across firewalls, proxy, DNS and load-balancing technologies . The role is best suited to someone who enjoys BAU engineering, troubleshooting, operational support and working in a highly controlled enterprise environment.

Role overview:

• Salary: circa $130k base
• Location: Jersey City / NYC area
• Working pattern: Hybrid — typically 3 days per week in office
• Benefits: Healthcare, benefits package and flexible working
• Environment: Large financial services / banking infrastructure
• Role type: Hands-on network security engineering / L4 support

Key experience sought:

• Network security engineering experience across enterprise-scale environments
• Strong hands-on firewall experience, ideally with Checkpoint and/or Fortinet
• Exposure to F5 load balancing — LTM / GTM useful
• Experience with proxy, DNS and network infrastructure support
• Familiarity with tools such as McAfee, Bluecoat, Infoblox or similar would be helpful
• Strong troubleshooting skills across TCP/IP, network security and production infrastructure
• Comfortable working in a BAU / operational engineering environment
• Financial services or banking experience would be advantageous, but is not essential

This is not a pure architecture role — it is a practical, hands-on engineering position supporting critical infrastructure in a large enterprise environment.
