Senior Wordpress Developer

IdeasUnlimited, a cutting-edge Global Business Support and Solutions Service Provider, has an immediate opening for a Senior WordPress Developer to spearhead the design, and continuous changes of the websites in their Marketing Department. In this role, the candidate will make standard implementations to build custom, enterprise-grade themes, plugins, and solutions. This is a long-term, stable, career-level and REMOTE (work from home or a remote location) opportunity for the right individual.

JOB DESCRIPTION OF SENIOR WORDPRESS DEVELOPER (REMOTE)

JOB DUTIES:

• Custom Development

  Build secure, high-performance, object-oriented custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch using PHP and modern JavaScript.

• Architecture & Database

  Optimize complex WP Query operations, restructure custom data models, and manage large-scale database migrations with zero downtime.

• Gutenberg Engineering

  Design and build complex custom Gutenberg blocks utilizing modern React.js workflows and the theme.json configuration engine.

• Performance Tuning

  Diagnose and resolve bottleneck issues to minimize Time to First Byte (TTFB), optimize Core Web Vitals, and manage server-side/object caching layers (Redis/Memcached).

• Integrations & APIs

  Develop and maintain secure integrations with third-party software, ERP systems, and web services using the WP REST API and GraphQL.

• Security & Compliance

  Implement strict input sanitization, output escaping, and nonce verification to mitigate common vulnerabilities (XSS, SQLi, CSRF).

• Technical Leadership

  Conduct code reviews, establish modern CI/CD deployment workflows, and mentor mid-level/junior developers on the team.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Excellent Communication Skills in the English Language.
• Bachelor’s Degree from a Reputable University.
• At least 3 years of professional full-stack web development experience, with at least 2 years explicitly focused on enterprise-level WordPress environments.
• Strong command of modern JavaScript (ES6+, React.js), CSS preprocessors (SASS/LESS), and atomic design/responsive methodologies.
• Deep, structural understanding of the WordPress template hierarchy, database schema, hooks system (actions/filters), and lifecycle hooks.
• Expertise with Git-based version control, WP-CLI, dependency managers (Composer, NPM), and local development setups (LocalWP, Docker).
• Familiarity with web server configurations (Nginx, Apache), DNS routing, and Content Delivery Network (CDN) implementation.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Familiarity with RESTful API development/integration.
• Good problem-solving skills including attention to detail.

SCHEDULE:

7 am to 3 pm US CDT (5 pm to 1 am PKT)

Monday to Friday with 1-hour break

COMPENSATION:

• Base Monthly Compensation: 100k to 150k PKR, depending on experience and skill set.
• Paid Leaves, Performance and Other Bonuses.
• Yearly Increments and Certificates of Achievement.

IMPORTANT:

• We will use monitoring software to assess your work efficiency and productivity daily. The position offers the comfort of working from home but demands the same efficiency, productivity, and professionalism expected in the industry.
