About the Opportunity

A leading organization undertaking a major digital and AI-driven transformation is seeking a Senior Data Scientist – Agentic AI to develop innovative artificial intelligence solutions that accelerate business performance, enhance customer experiences, and drive operational excellence.

This is a highly visible individual contributor role focused on advancing the use of agentic AI, large language models (LLMs), autonomous systems, and intelligent automation across enterprise-scale initiatives. The successful candidate will partner with cross-functional stakeholders to turn emerging AI capabilities into practical, production-ready solutions that create measurable business value.

This position follows a hybrid work model requiring onsite presence three days per week in one of the following locations:

• New York City, NY
• Allentown, PA
• Boston, MA

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and implement agent-based AI solutions that streamline complex business processes, improve operational efficiency, and support strategic decision-making.
• Develop and deploy generative AI and LLM-powered applications to extract insights from unstructured data sources, including documents, records, correspondence, and customer interactions.
• Design autonomous and multi-agent systems capable of reasoning, planning, and executing workflows across enterprise platforms.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, platform, and operations teams to transition AI solutions from experimentation through production deployment and ongoing optimization.
• Evaluate and apply emerging advancements in agentic AI, reasoning frameworks, reinforcement learning, and intelligent automation to real-world business challenges.
• Partner with business leaders, product teams, and technical stakeholders to identify opportunities, define requirements, and measure solution effectiveness.
• Establish best practices, reusable frameworks, and scalable methodologies for the development and deployment of AI-driven products.
• Provide technical mentorship to junior team members and contribute to the ongoing advancement of data science standards, tools, and governance.

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience

• PhD with 2+ years of relevant industry experience, or Master’s degree with 4+ years of experience in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Data Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience developing and deploying machine learning and AI solutions in production environments.

Technical Expertise

• Strong proficiency in Python and modern AI/ML development frameworks.
• Experience with tools and platforms such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, LangGraph, or related technologies.
• Deep understanding of machine learning, statistical modeling, optimization techniques, and predictive analytics.
• Experience developing and operationalizing LLM-based applications, AI agents, orchestration frameworks, and intelligent automation solutions.
• Solid grounding in probability, statistics, and experimental design.
