Overview

We are seeking a Senior Azure Technical Architect to partner with the Enterprise Architecture team in driving cloud modernization, AI adoption, and architecture engineering initiatives. This role bridges architecture and engineering, providing technical leadership, architectural guidance, and AI-driven automation across multiple development teams.

The ideal candidate will have strong Azure architecture expertise, experience with modern cloud-native application design, and a passion for leveraging AI to improve architecture and software engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with Enterprise Architects to define architecture standards, reference architectures, and best practices.
• Provide architectural guidance and design reviews across engineering teams.
• Drive adoption of Azure cloud services, Microsoft Fabric, Purview, and Azure AI Foundry.
• Support cloud modernization and implementation of cloud-native Azure solutions.
• Establish architecture governance and ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
• Create architecture documentation, reusable patterns, and implementation guidelines.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve technical challenges and accelerate delivery.
• Contribute to the organization’s cloud and AI strategy.
• Develop reusable engineering capabilities, patterns, skills, and self-service solutions that empower teams to operate independently.

AI & Architecture Engineering

• Promote AI-first architecture practices across the SDLC.
• Identify opportunities to automate architecture governance and engineering workflows.
• Design AI-enabled architecture solutions and reusable AI skills.
• Leverage tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, and AI-assisted development platforms.
• Support initiatives involving Agentic AI, Prompt Engineering, MCP (Model Context Protocol), and AI-powered architecture automation, with an understanding of enterprise integration and deployment patterns.
• Analyze existing SDLC and engineering processes and identify opportunities for AI-driven automation and self-service enablement.
• Build scalable capabilities that reduce manual architecture support, governance overhead, and engineering process friction.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Solution, Technical, or Cloud Architecture.
• Strong experience designing and implementing Azure-based enterprise solutions.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid understanding of enterprise architecture, application modernization, and architecture governance.
• Experience consulting and influencing multiple engineering teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Purview, and Azure AI Foundry.
• Experience implementing AI-enabled engineering workflows.
• Exposure to enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF preferred).
• Microsoft Azure certifications (AZ-305, AZ-104, AI-102, etc.).

Preferred Domain Experience

Financial Services, Asset Management, Wealth Management, or Investment Management experience is highly desirable.
