Role and Overview of the role

Looking for someone in between senior and lead. Don’t have a personal preference. If someone is a strong senior. It’s something that also considered. The candidates responsibility would be to help the team to move complex features and to solve complex problems that they have today. All revolving around elementary data and cloud-native applications. Involving Java as primary language, AWS, strong database foundation and SQL. It’s also a desire to have a little bit of data streaming knowledge and someone pretty eager to learn and sharp learning new technologies. Its a young team that is just needing some kind of help because the volume of work that they have today is big. Looking for engineers that have some expertise in the field as well as are eager to learn and collaborate with them. So some of the challenges is just like discovering what’s out there, what they are integrating with, and how figuring out and proposing a design solution and help us to implement it out. Other challenges that they are facing are take real-time series databases into the picture. Have projects in Java and projects in Kotlin in both languages, both are GDM-based languages and anyone knowing Java can effectively move into Kotlin fairly in a decent time frame. Kotlin is not a hard requirement but it’s something that if they see Kotlin in the resume that candidate would be more appealing because that’s a learning curve. If the candidate is strong and know the Java skills that wouldn’t be a blocker. If there are two candidates close to each other and one has Kotlin and the other does not that’s something that they would probably consider.
