Part-time Admin and Merchandise Assistant

Sheldrick Wildlife Trust USA is a 501c3 non profit organization dedicated to elephant and rhino conservation in Kenya. We provide support to US donors looking to support our lifesaving work with African wildlife.

We are seeking a part-time in person employee to help us with basic administrative tasks and fulfillment of some of our merchandise business. The job is part-time to start, and can increase hours based on need and performance.

Title: Part-time Admin and Merchandise Assistant

Reports to: Executive Director, SWT USA

Nature of Position: Part-time, hourly position of SWT USA, Inc. (16-20 hours a week) with potential additional hours around holiday months

Based at: Sheldrick Wildlife Trust USA, California Laguna Hills Office

Job Purpose: To support and grow the SWT USA charity by assisting with administrative and merchandise tasks.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

· Manage Shopify and Shipstation order flow, printing order forms for fill

· Fill all merchandise orders with a high level of accuracy and shipped within 24-48 hours of order time.

· Manage all office shipments both merchandise and regular business shipments domestic and international

· Manage inventory for all items, including accurate counts in online store and on SWT USA Tracking sheet

· Ensure all merchandise items are well stocked/reordered in a timely manner to avoid vacancies in product

· Manage all communications and relationships with all merchandise vendors (new orders, reorders, damages)

· Manage online store including accurate product descriptions, images, customer service inquiries

· Work with volunteers during holiday season for order fulfillment training

· updating CPU’s monthly

· keeping SOP’s up to date

· keeping back stock organized

· working with shipping consultant to ensure proper settings for shopify and international orders

· Actively work to increase marketing and visibility of US merchandise (Google Ads, Amazon, etc)

· Work with 3rd party fulfillment consultant and company to manage inventory and help transition shop to offsite fulfillment

· Manage ordering/reordering of all packing supplies needed, postage needs

· Answer phone calls and donor inquiries regarding SWT programs and donations

· Assist in donation entry and receipting, mail processing and donor correspondence

· Receive email and phone inquiries pertaining to scope of work and respond to inquirer according to SWT USA communication policy

· Support other staff members in administrative tasks as needed

· Provide weekly or periodic updates as directed to Executive Director on task or project progress

· Additional projects and responsibilities as assigned by Executive Director to support current operational volume and new areas of growth.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
