Job Overview
The AI Innovation Specialist will be part of the AI Innovation Team, supporting the firm’s adoption, training, and day-to-day operation of legal generative AI tools and platforms. This role serves as a practical resource for attorneys and business professionals by answering high-volume support and training questions, maintaining AI-enabled workspaces and databases, coordinating AI Innovation programs, and helping users apply AI workflows responsibly and effectively.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing AI Innovation Team at a pivotal time in the evolution of legal technology, where enthusiasm for AI, curiosity about new tools, and a commitment to practical attorney enablement are valuable assets.
This role has a remote working arrangement, with onsite attendance required for live trainings and events hosted by the AI team. Potential candidates must reside within one of the 10 states in which we have a physical office. Candidates within commuting distance of New York City are preferred. In this role, you will report to the AI Innovation Manager.
Essential Functions
- Serve as a primary point of contact for attorneys and business professionals seeking support with legal generative AI tools and platforms, handling a high volume of troubleshooting matters, training questions, access requests, and general inquiries.
- Triage, research, and resolve day-to-day AI support requests, escalating complex technical, legal workflow, or governance issues to appropriate team members when needed.
- Support AI training initiatives for practice groups by preparing training materials, tailoring examples to legal workflows, and coordinating sessions that promote responsible, effective use of legal generative AI tools.
- Provide one-on-one training to attorneys and staff on AI workflows, prompting practices, databases, content organization, and related legal technology processes.
- Coordinate larger firm-wide AI innovation events, including planning logistics, preparing agendas and materials, tracking participation, and supporting follow-up communications.
- Build, maintain, and organize content within Client Collaboration Portals to support team, matter, and practice-group needs.
- Manage approval workflows and user permissions for Client Collaboration Portals and related AI workspaces in accordance with firm policies.
- Create, maintain, and troubleshoot AI-enabled databases for matters, teams, and projects, including larger databases with longer build times and ongoing content maintenance needs.
- Curate and organize content from document management systems and other source locations to create knowledge bases that are structured for accurate, efficient retrieval and integration with legal generative AI tools.
- Coordinate the provisioning of licenses for legal generative AI tools and platforms, including responding to access questions.
- Develop and maintain self-service enablement resources, including prompt libraries, quick-start guides, FAQs, annotated screenshots, checklists, and short “how-to” materials that help attorneys and business professionals use legal AI tools effectively and responsibly.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
- Work additional hours as needed to fulfill job requirements.
The above essential functions represent the general nature and level of responsibilities for this position and is not intended to be an all-inclusive list. The firm may modify and amend any job description at any time in its sole discretion.
