Job Summary for: Abacus Network Architect (NYC, NY)

• Lead the design, strategy, and support of Operational Technology (OT) network infrastructure, including core, distribution, and edge devices for systems such as CCTV, PA, CBTC, Bus Radio, power, and cybersecurity.
• Ensure 24x7 operational reliability and regulatory compliance for all OT network components and related systems.
• Provide advanced technical guidance to operations teams on OT projects, focusing on cybersecurity and operational continuity.
• Collaborate with IT teams to integrate OT and IT systems while maintaining strict segmentation and security protocols.
• Develop and maintain network standards and reference documentation, including modeling for long-term OT network planning.
• Drive innovation and modernization by supporting upgrades of legacy systems and implementing extensible, resilient network solutions.
• Deliver cost-effective solutions that maximize ROI through strategic decisions and utilization of cutting-edge networking technologies.
• Lead and coordinate OT network solutions; present strategies and technical recommendations to senior management.
• Work cross-functionally with Networking, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, and Procurement teams; translate complex technical concepts into actionable plans.
• Participate in strategic planning and network design workshops to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Utilize enterprise architecture modeling tools (e.g., Abacus) for scenario planning, impact analysis, and communicating architectures.
• Apply advanced cybersecurity measures to protect OT environments and ensure compliance with safety and industry standards.
• Integrate wireless and wired OT networks for comprehensive operational coverage.
• Capture and analyze network maintenance information to inform modernization and resilience initiatives.

Required Skills

• Advanced OT network design and modeling experience
• Strong expertise in OT cybersecurity
• Hands-on experience with enterprise architecture modeling tools (Abacus preferred)
• Experience with OT/IT integration and cross-functional collaboration
• Proven track record in legacy system modernization and network innovation
