Senior Executive Assistant to CEO/Founder

Location: Near Manhattan Beach, CA (Hybrid)

Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Executive Assistant to serve as the trusted right hand to a CEO/founder overseeing multiple businesses and projects. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced executive support professional who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and enjoys being a true business partner.

This hybrid role offers flexibility, including the ability to work remotely when the executive is traveling. The Executive Assistant will also work from the executive’s home office in Manhattan Beach as needed. Occasional travel is required.

The Role

This is far more than a traditional Executive Assistant position. You will be a strategic partner responsible for keeping the executive organized, informed, and operating at the highest level. Success in this role requires exceptional judgment, discretion, emotional intelligence, and the ability to anticipate needs before they arise.

You will manage complex priorities, coordinate across multiple businesses and initiatives, and ensure day-to-day operations run seamlessly while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Manage an ever-changing, complex executive calendar, ensuring priorities are aligned and time is optimized.
  • Coordinate domestic and international travel, including detailed itineraries and logistics.
  • Oversee and prioritize executive inboxes and communications, drafting correspondence on behalf of the executive.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, talking points, presentations, and briefing materials.
  • Coordinate internal and external meetings with executives, investors, partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Manage expense reports, spreadsheets, budgets, and other administrative reporting.
  • Track projects, action items, and deadlines across multiple businesses and ensure timely follow-through.
  • Serve as a trusted gatekeeper while building strong relationships with internal and external contacts.
  • Anticipate challenges, proactively solve problems, and keep operations moving efficiently.
  • Handle highly confidential information with complete discretion and professionalism.
  • Provide occasional travel support as business needs require.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of Executive Assistant experience supporting a CEO, founder, or senior executive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated success supporting executives with complex calendars, extensive travel, and multiple concurrent priorities.
  • Outstanding organizational and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional emotional intelligence with strong interpersonal skills and executive presence.
  • Proven ability to anticipate needs, think several steps ahead, and operate independently.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, particularly Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Sheets.
  • Experience preparing presentations, executive communications, and meeting materials.
  • Absolute integrity, professionalism, and discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Ability to remain calm, adaptable, and resourceful in a constantly evolving environment.
  • Must reside in the Los Angeles area and be able to work in the Manhattan Beach area on a hybrid basis.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is polished, proactive, and highly resourceful. They have supported executives at the highest levels and understand that the best Executive Assistants don’t simply react—they anticipate, prioritize, and execute. They enjoy solving problems, creating order from complexity, and acting as a trusted partner who enables their executive to focus on the highest-value opportunities.

If you are looking for a long-term opportunity where your expertise, judgment, and partnership will have a meaningful impact, we’d love to hear from you.

Salary range will depend on experience. $150,000 - $200,000 (exempt) plus healthcare benefits
