We are seeking a KDB Developer to:

• Translate business requirements into solution designs
• Develop software components in accordance with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Test and integrate components into larger systems
• Produce secure, stable, and scalable code
• Collaborate with global IT teams and business stakeholders
• Solve challenges ranging from high-volume, low-latency architectures to advanced user analytics

Your Team

The KDB team is a global organization that works closely with key business partners, including Cash Quant and Quant Trading. This position is based in New York and will primarily focus on KDB/Q development, with some involvement in Java-based components.

Experience and Skills

You should be able to contribute to the design and technical direction of the product suite while maintaining and enhancing existing solutions to meet evolving business requirements. This role will focus on expanding strategic Equities Tick and Transaction Cost Analysis systems.

Required qualifications include:

• Strong proficiency in Q and experience building large-scale KDB systems and infrastructure
• Experience developing in Unix and/or Linux environments
• Core Java development experience; Java web development experience is preferred
• Ability to work closely with business stakeholders and quickly understand their products and services
• Knowledge of market data within the equities asset class
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Pay: $140,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
