Overview

Our client is a well-established, insurance-focused financial services group managing tens of billions in assets across life and annuity product lines. They are looking for a Senior Allvue Developer to take ownership of their Allvue platform (Everest / Black Mountain lineage) - driving configuration, enhancements, integrations, and ongoing platform optimization across the credit, private debt, and fixed income book.

This is a senior technical ownership role. You’ll be the primary point of contact between the business and Allvue, sitting across the table from Allvue’s support, client success, and product teams, not just logging tickets.

Core Platform Skills

• Deep, hands-on configuration expertise across Allvue’s Portfolio Management, Research, and Trade Order Management modules, plus Compliance, Portfolio Monitoring & Analytics, and Fund, Investment & Corporate Accounting - this means system setup (workflows, report templates, user roles/permissions, data mapping between modules), not just day-to-day usage
• Strong T-SQL for report writing, troubleshooting data discrepancies, and validating output before it reaches accounting or investor-facing deliverables - you can query the underlying data model independently rather than routing everything through Allvue support
• Working knowledge of how Allvue’s reporting/BI layer connects to downstream systems such as GL, investment accounting, and actuarial feeds

Vendor Liaison Skills

• Experience as the primary point of contact with Allvue - escalating issues and pushing roadmap requests directly with their support, client success, and product teams
• Comfort managing Allvue’s release cycle and upgrade process: testing new releases, coordinating UAT with business users, flagging what breaks before it hits production
• Ability to translate business pain points into either a concrete Allvue configuration change or a well-documented enhancement request to the vendor

Domain & Operational Knowledge

• Fund and investment accounting fluency across private equity, debt and credit, CLOs, fixed income, and equities
• Experience reconciling asset management platform outputs with a carrier’s statutory/GAAP reporting is a genuine differentiator here, given the client’s dual-entity (asset manager + insurance carrier) structure - not typical for most Allvue roles, but valuable in this one

Experience

• 8-15 years in fund administration/operations with significant hands-on Allvue exposure
• 5-10 years managing vendor relationships at this level of escalation and roadmap influence
• Demonstrated experience designing APIs/integrations connecting Allvue to internal systems
• Solid understanding of ETL/data pipeline patterns
• Experience with version control, CI/CD, and testing practices
• Ability to document code and data flows to an audit-ready standard
