Overview

We are seeking a Senior Software Developer with strong AWS expertise to support a high-impact telecommunications initiative within a large public sector environment. This role focuses on designing and delivering scalable, cloud-native solutions with a strong emphasis on Amazon Connect and AI-powered capabilities .

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement solutions using Amazon Connect (contact flows, routing, agent experience, analytics, Contact Lens, CTR data)
• Develop AI-powered features leveraging Amazon Q in Connect and Amazon Bedrock (automation, agent assist, summarization)
• Build scalable, event-driven systems using serverless and/or microservices architectures (AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, EKS)
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform)
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance, reliability, and security
• Produce technical documentation and participate in design walkthroughs

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS development and cloud architecture
• Proven experience with Amazon Connect
• Experience with Amazon Q in Connect and/or Amazon Bedrock
• Expertise in serverless and container-based architectures
• Solid understanding of DevOps practices, cloud security, and monitoring tools
• 5–10 years of experience in software development and systems analysis

Core Competencies

• Strong programming and application design experience
• Knowledge of modern design patterns, SDLC, and RAD methodologies
• Experience with relational and hierarchical databases
• Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and support applications post-deployment
• Familiarity with AODA standards and accessibility compliance
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to collaborate across technical and business teams
