Job Description
Tech Pipeline is currently assisting a major logistics firm in Dubai to fix systemic issues within their internal software stack. We are looking for a Junior Web Developer to help us build and maintain the interfaces that keep their operations moving smoothly. This is a fully remote position focused on solving concrete technical problems rather than high level strategy.
About the role The logistics industry relies on a constant flow of data between warehouses, shipping hubs, and administrative offices. When these systems fail to communicate, backlogs grow and operations stall. In this role, you will work directly on the tools that bridge these gaps. You will not be building abstract frameworks: you will be looking at why a specific routing rule is failing or why a data field is not appearing correctly on an operator dashboard. We focus on the ground truth of the system. Your work will involve building small, functional web components and scripts that ensure the client source of truth remains accurate across all their platforms.
What you will be doing
- Writing and updating frontend components using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to improve internal tool usability.
- Reading server logs and database entries to trace the source of data entry errors.
- Developing simple scripts to automate the reconciliation of shipping data between different databases.
- Testing web forms to ensure that validation rules align with the client operational requirements.
- Building basic dashboard views that allow operators to monitor real-time backlogs and routing status.
- Documenting every script and interface change so the client team can maintain the system once our engagement ends.
- Collaborating with the team to identify specific friction points in the existing web applications.
- Participating in code reviews to ensure all work meets our standards for clarity and practical function.
What we need from you
- Basic proficiency in core web technologies including HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript.
- Familiarity with at least one backend language, such as Python or Node.js, through coursework or personal projects.
- A strong attention to detail and the ability to spot inconsistencies in data or code.
- The ability to write clear, concise documentation that explains how a technical feature works.
- A practical approach to problem solving that prioritizes working solutions over complex designs.
- Excellent communication skills to help explain technical issues to teammates in a remote setting.
- A genuine interest in learning how technical infrastructure supports large-scale logistics operations.
- The discipline to manage your own schedule and tasks in a fully remote environment.
Helpful background
- Previous experience using Git or other version control systems for school or side projects.
- Basic understanding of SQL and how to write simple queries to retrieve data from a database.
- Any exposure to logistics, supply chain, or warehouse management concepts.
- Experience building a complete web application from scratch as part of a bootcamp or degree program.
What the role offers
- A permanent, full-time position with a fully remote work arrangement.
- Competitive pay that is attractive for entry-level developers within the current market.
- Practical experience working on a significant project for a major logistics firm in Dubai.
- The chance to work on a team that values technical reality and direct results.
- Mentorship from experienced developers who focus on teaching sustainable coding practices.
- Exposure to a variety of technical challenges that go beyond standard frontend development.
Working at Tech Pipeline We pride ourselves on a culture that avoids the typical overhead of corporate life. At Tech Pipeline, we do not spend our days in endless meetings or chasing abstract goals. Instead, we use written documentation and weekly updates to stay aligned. We expect every team member to be comfortable reading the logs and finding the ground truth of a problem. Our goal is always to fix the specific friction point, verify that the solution works in live operation, and leave the client with a system they are proud to own. We value clarity, technical honesty, and the ability to get things done without unnecessary fluff.
