AI Operations Manager

Role Description The AI Operations Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in New York, NY, responsible for overseeing the planning, deployment, and ongoing management of AI and IT initiatives. This role includes working with internal stakeholders and clients to define AI project scope, operational requirements, and success metrics. The AI Operations Manager coordinates resources and timelines, manages infrastructure needs, and ensures that software, hardware, and network configurations support AI workflows and data requirements. Daily responsibilities involve monitoring AI system performance, resolving operational issues, optimizing processes, and ensuring compliance with security and governance standards. The role also contributes to continuous improvement by documenting best practices, evaluating new tools, and aligning AI operations with overall business strategy.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in IT or AI project management, including scoping, resource planning, and timeline coordination.
• Strong background in systems operations or infrastructure management, with familiarity in software, hardware, and network environments.
• Ability to analyze technical and business requirements and provide clear, objective recommendations on the use of AI and IT solutions.
• Experience with enterprise platforms or large-scale deployments (e.g., Oracle or similar) is highly beneficial.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
• Proven problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; relevant certifications in project management or AI/ML operations are a plus.
