Jr. Mechanical Design Engineer (5 yrs exp needed)

Jr. HVAC Design Engineer.

Duties & Responsibilities

• HVAC system design for a large variety of projects.

• Load Calculations as required for HVAC design.

• Site surveying – visiting existing buildings to evaluate existing conditions.

• Construction Administration – visiting projects under construction to verify work is being completed per design.

Requirements

• Mechanical Engineering degree or similar. Transcript may be requested.

• EIT is a plus.

• Experience in construction industry a plus.

• Familiarity with AutoCAD.

• Fluent in English.

What to expect

Tietjen Venegas’s small size means you will have tremendous exposure to all aspects of HVAC design as well as some plumbing, fire protection and electrical design. You will learn directly from the firm’s principal, senior engineers and have the benefit of their decades of experience. You will learn how to design diverse systems for a variety of building types. You will be involved in projects from start to finish from initial surveying all the way through construction. You get to actually see how your designs are installed and thus learn how to design truly practical systems.

Salary is commensurate with experience - internships, summer jobs etc.
