Intern Software Engineer (with Business Analysis Exposure)

Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Intern Software Engineer with an interest in Business Analysis (BA) to join our team. This role provides hands-on experience in software development while collaborating with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

The ideal candidate is passionate about coding, curious about business processes, and eager to learn how technology supports business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Software Engineering

·       Assist in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining applications.

·       Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.

·       Support debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues.

·       Participate in code reviews and follow best development practices.

·       Collaborate with senior engineers on feature enhancements and bug fixes.

Business Analysis Support

·       Work with business stakeholders to gather and document requirements.

·       Assist in translating business needs into functional and technical specifications.

·       Create user stories, process flows, and requirement documentation.

·       Support testing activities such as UAT (User Acceptance Testing).

·       Help analyze system performance and suggest improvements.

Qualifications & Skills

Education

·       Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in:

o   Computer Science

o   Software Engineering

o   Information Systems

o   Business Information Technology  or related fields

Technical Skills

·       Basic knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, C#).

·       Familiarity with web development frameworks or tools is a plus.

·       Understanding of databases (SQL, NoSQL).

·       Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Business & Analytical Skills

·       Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

·       Interest in understanding business processes and requirements.

·       Basic knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology is an advantage.

·       Ability to document requirements clearly and concisely.

Soft Skills

·       Good communication and interpersonal skills.

·       Strong attention to detail.

·       Ability to work independently and in a team.

·       Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred (Nice to Have)

·       Experience with Git or version control.

·       Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

·       Familiarity with UI/UX principles.

·       Prior internship or project experience in development or BA

·       Exposure to Generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, prompt engineering).

·       Awareness of how AI can be applied in business processes and automation.
