We build AI-powered prosthetic hands and smart health sensors, which have been serving patients across 12+ markets worldwide. We are looking for talented people to help take the product even further on the international stage.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will work in R&D-Software team, building the software layer that connects Vulcan’s devices to patients and clinical teams. From the mobile app a patient uses every day, to the backend systems processing real-time clinical data. Everything is built in-house, on products that are already in the hands of real users.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build mobile apps on Flutter, iOS, and Android for device control and patient data management
• Develop and maintain backend systems including REST APIs, WebSocket, and database layers
• Implement BLE connectivity for real-time data collection and streaming from wearable devices
• Create data visualization features including real-time graphs and clinical dashboards
• Collaborate with the Embedded team to design communication protocols and debug end-to-end flows
• Contribute to signal processing and machine learning integration within the wearable platform

REQUIREMENTS

• 1 to 2 years of hands-on software development experience
• Mobile development on iOS, Android, or cross-platform with Flutter strongly preferred
• Backend experience with Node.js, Python, or Go along with REST API design skills
• Published at least one app to the App Store or Google Play, or solid grasp of the process
• Strong understanding of client-server architecture, REST APIs, and WebSocket
• Foundational knowledge of BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy)
• Comfortable reading English technical documentation

NICE TO HAVE

• Prior experience with wearable devices or IoT systems
• Familiarity with BLE GATT protocol and characteristics
• Background in machine learning, AI, or signal processing
• Experience with Firebase, AWS, or GCP along with CI/CD and DevOps practices
• Built real-time dashboards or data-rich charting applications before
• Hands-on experience optimizing app performance and power consumption on mobile or BLE
