We are seeking an energetic and highly skilled Lead Java Developer to spearhead our backend development initiatives and drive innovative system solutions. In this pivotal role, you will lead a talented team of developers, oversee the design and implementation of scalable applications, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software that meets business objectives. Your expertise in Java, system architecture, and cloud infrastructure will be instrumental in shaping our technology landscape and advancing our digital capabilities.

Duties

• Lead the development and maintenance of backend systems using Java, ensuring robust performance, scalability, and security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design system architectures utilizing UML for clear visualization and planning.
• Develop and optimize RESTful APIs and web services to facilitate seamless integration across platforms.
• Drive Agile software development practices, including sprint planning, code reviews, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), and unit testing.
• Oversee database design and management using relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL options like MongoDB.
• Implement system design for distributed systems and cloud infrastructure leveraging AWS or Azure to enhance scalability and resilience.
• Mentor junior developers, promote best practices in software engineering, debugging, version control (Git, SVN), and ensure adherence to SDLC standards.

Skills

• Extensive experience with Java development, including multithreading, OOP principles, and application design.
• Proficiency in front-end development frameworks such as React, Bootstrap, HTML5, CSS3, AJAX, and JavaScript for UI integration.
• Strong knowledge of web development technologies including RESTful API design, SOAP web services, WCF, XML/XSLT transformations.
• Hands-on experience with application frameworks like Spring Boot (including React Express), MVC architecture, and.NET technologies.
• Familiarity with database systems such as SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL; expertise in database design and T-SQL/PL/SQL scripting.
• Practical understanding of distributed computing concepts, cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure), microservices architecture, and system scalability strategies.
• Skilled in Agile software development methodologies using tools like TFS, GitHub, Visual Studio, Eclipse; experienced in version control systems such as Git or SVN.
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker), CI/CD pipelines for automated testing/deployment processes; experience with Linux environments is a plus.
• Ability to perform debugging efficiently across multiple platforms; strong analytical skills complemented by UML diagramming for system modeling.

Pay: $90.00 - $110.00 per hour
