AWS Hybrid Connectivity Engineer – Financial Services

We’re partnering with our client, a large professional services firm, to build a team supporting a major financial services client’s enterprise cloud transformation. This is a long-term consulting engagement where you’ll work directly with AWS engineers to design and implement the networking and connectivity that enables large-scale application and data migrations into AWS.

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on building secure, scalable hybrid connectivity—not simply monitoring or operating existing environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement hybrid AWS networking between on-premises environments and AWS.
• Build connectivity using AWS Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, VPC networking, API Gateway, and VPC Lattice.
• Design the network infrastructure supporting application migrations, including Kafka/MSK, object storage, and database replication.
• Configure and troubleshoot routing, connectivity, and application traffic across hybrid cloud environments.
• Develop infrastructure using AWS CDK and Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Leverage CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Flow Logs, and related tooling to validate connectivity and troubleshoot distributed applications.

Preferred Experience

• Strong hands-on AWS networking experience, including Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, VPC architecture, PrivateLink, API Gateway, and ideally VPC Lattice.
• Experience designing hybrid connectivity between on-premises infrastructure and AWS.
• Experience supporting Kafka/MSK or other distributed messaging platforms in enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with networking requirements for application modernization, object storage migrations, and database replication.
• Experience in large-scale enterprise cloud migrations; financial services experience is highly preferred.

Location: Lower Manhattan (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
