Job Description
About the Company
We’re an AI-powered investment platform helping everyday investors create, backtest, and automate personalised investment strategies.
We’re on a mission to bring professional-grade, systematic investing tools to retail investors in an intuitive, consumer-friendly format, breaking down the cost and complexity that has traditionally kept personalised wealth management out of reach.
We’re FCA-authorised, growing fast, and building a small, ambitious engineering team.
The Role
We’re hiring a snior developer to join our clients engineering team as a generalist. This isn’t a role for someone who wants to specialise in one narrow slice of the stack you’ll be working across front end, back end, data pipelines, and integrations, depending on what the product needs that week.
We’re particularly keen to hear from candidates with experience in fintech, wealth management, trading platforms, payments, or adjacent regulated industries.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Building and maintaining features across our web application, mobile app backend, APIs, and core services
- Working with data pipelines that process market data, backtesting logic, and portfolio analytics
- Collaborating closely with product and design to ship features end-to-end
- Integrating with third-party financial data, payments, and custody/brokerage platforms
- Contributing to technical decisions on architecture, tooling, and process as we scale
- Writing clean, tested, maintainable code and reviewing others’ work
- Helping identify and fix bugs, performance issues, and technical debt
What We’re Looking For
-
5+ years
of professional software development experience
- A genuine generalist, comfortable moving between front end, back end, and infrastructure as needed
- Experience in fintech, wealth management, trading, payments, or a similarly regulated/operational industry
- Strong fundamentals: you can reason about data structures, APIs, databases, and system design without needing a specific framework to lean on
- Practical experience with modern web technologies (e.g. JavaScript/TypeScript, a common backend language, SQL/NoSQL databases, cloud infrastructure)
- Comfortable working in a small team with high autonomy and shifting priorities
- A pragmatic, product-minded approach — you care about shipping things that work and solve real problems, not just elegant code for its own sake
- Good communication skills; able to explain trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders
Nice to Have
- Experience with financial data processing, portfolio analytics, or backtesting systems
- Exposure to regulated environments (FCA or similar), KYC/AML flows, or open banking integrations
- Experience working with market data providers, custodians, or payment platforms
- Startup or scale-up experience
Compensation & Benefits
-
Salary:
£60,000+
-
Equity:
Share options, giving you a stake in the company’s success
- Flexible working arrangements
- The opportunity to shape a growing product and engineering culture from an early stage
How to Apply
Please upload your CV along with a short note on your experience in fintech, wealth management, or a related industry, and what draws you to a generalist role.
