Job Description

For candidates based in the New York City area, this role follows a hybrid schedule from our Brooklyn office. Candidates based outside the NYC area may work fully remote. Tapstitch is looking for a Graphic Design Lead to join our content and brand team through an initial three-month, full-time contract, with the potential to transition into a permanent full-time role.

This is a highly hands-on, execution-focused role for a designer who can translate creative direction into polished, effective work across events, social media, campaigns, web, email, merchandise design, and other marketing channels.

You’ll work closely with the Head of Content and Brand to bring Tapstitch’s visual identity to life across digital and physical touchpoints. You’ll be expected to take direction, understand the goal behind a project, and independently carry the work through from concept development to final execution.

This role is not responsible for leading a full rebrand or independently redefining the company’s brand identity. Instead, you’ll help elevate and evolve how the brand system is applied, identifying opportunities to improve consistency, strengthen visual storytelling, and make the brand feel owned across channels.

You’ll have meaningful input into visual direction within those established brand parameters, including how campaigns, content series, events, and other initiatives come to life. You should be comfortable proposing new approaches, introducing stronger design solutions, and helping refine our visual standards while remaining aligned with broader brand strategy and creative direction.

Your work will range from decks and sales material to social content, campaign visuals, event signage, physical displays, apparel graphics, presentations, and other marketing assets. You’ll also help build the templates, systems, and production processes that allow Tapstitch to create more consistent and scalable design work.

This role is ideal for someone who is self-sufficient, organized, and capable of moving projects forward without extensive guidance. At the same time, creative collaboration is core to our team - thinking outside the box and suggesting new concepts is encouraged. Success in this position requires strong listening skills, attention to the brief, and the ability to incorporate feedback accurately and quickly while staying on brand.

Requirements

  • Execute high-quality design work based on creative direction, campaign goals, and structured briefs
  • Translate feedback and strategic direction into thoughtful, polished visual solutions
  • Help evolve and elevate Tapstitch’s existing visual identity across social, brand, marketing, partnerships, and events
  • Identify opportunities to improve how established brand elements are applied without departing from the broader brand strategy
  • Develop visual directions for campaigns, content series, product launches, partnerships, and events in collaboration with the Head of Content and Brand
  • Bring forward thoughtful design recommendations while remaining responsive to feedback and aligned with established priorities
  • Design assets for social media, including Instagram carousels, Stories, TikTok and Reels overlays, YouTube thumbnails, LinkedIn graphics, and other channel-specific design
  • Build and maintain scalable templates for recurring content series, launches, campaigns, and internal teams
  • Create visual assets for product launches, seasonal campaigns, partnerships, and apparel drops
  • Design event materials, including signage, booth and display graphics, step-and-repeats, presentation boards, printed collateral, invitations, and other physical brand touchpoints
  • Help develop creative approaches for displaying Tapstitch products, apparel samples, and custom branding elements at events, showrooms, shoots, and activations
  • Prepare production-ready files and collaborate with vendors or internal teams to ensure physical materials are produced accurately
  • Create apparel graphics using Tapstitch products for campaigns, content, events, partnerships, and brand activations
  • Design storytelling assets for case studies, educational content, founder stories, product highlights
  • Support web and marketing design needs, including emails, landing pages, blog graphics, sales materials, and presentations
  • Collaborate with the content team on short-form video, including overlays, motion graphics, text treatments, and light editing s…
