Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)

Must-Have Strong hands on experience (46 years) in Azure Administration with specific expertise in Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), including host pools, session hosts, application groups, and FSLogix. Solid knowledge of Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and Windows 10/11 administration, Azure AD, RBAC, and Group Policy. Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation, good understanding of Azure networking (VNets, NSGs, VPN), and ability to troubleshoot AVD, Windows, and Azure infrastructure issues independently.

Should work in 24*7 support

Good-to-Have Azure certifications such as AZ 104 or AZ 140, experience with Intune / Endpoint Manager, FSLogix optimization, and MSIX App Attach. Exposure to hybrid environments (on prem + Azure), IaC tools like Terraform or Bicep, Azure cost optimization, monitoring tools, and ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow) is an added advantage.

Role descriptions / Expectations from the Role

• Own endtoend administration of Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Windowsbased Azure infrastructure
• Deploy, configure, and manage AVD host pools, session hosts, app groups, and workspaces
• Ensure high availability, performance, security, and scalability of Azure environments
• Perform monitoring, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for Azure and AVD issues
• Manage Windows Server and Windows 10/11 administration, patching, and hardening
• Handle Azure AD, RBAC, Group Policies, and identityrelated configurations
• Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and security best practices
• Automate routine tasks using PowerShell/Azure CLI to improve operational efficiency
• Act as L2/L3 support and escalation point for production issues
• Collaborate with networking, security, and application teams
• Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and operational runbooks
• Proactively work on cost optimization, performance tuning, and continuous improvements
