Job Description
About the Company
Powerus is building a next-generation American autonomous systems platform designed to move, protect, and sustain critical assets in high-consequence environments. The company combines advanced autonomy, manufacturing capability, operational expertise, and strategic acquisitions to support defense, national security, critical infrastructure, and commercial operations globally.
Mission
Our mission is to deliver resilient autonomous technologies that strengthen national security, improve operational safety, and expand the capabilities of organizations operating in complex environments.
Why Join Powerus
Powerus is scaling rapidly across defense, national security, and commercial markets, and the tempo of decision-making in the executive office has scaled with it. This is an opportunity to operate at the center of the company — owning the time, information flow, and follow-through of its most constrained resource, within a fast-moving environment focused on execution, operational capability, and scalable growth.
About the Role
Powerus is seeking an Executive Assistant to support the Office of the Chief Executive. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you will own calendar, travel, correspondence, and meeting execution while serving as a trusted filter between the executive office and internal and external stakeholders. This is not an administrative support role in the conventional sense. The position calls for professional judgment sufficient to handle sensitive commercial, legal, and personnel matters unsupervised; the analytical training to prepare a chief executive for complex negotiations and board engagements; and the discretion required to operate at the center of a company working across defense and national security markets.
Responsibilities
- Own and actively manage the Chief Executive’s calendar, prioritizing against company objectives and resolving competing demands without escalation.
- Coordinate complex domestic and international travel, including itineraries, visas, security considerations, and on-the-ground logistics.
- Prepare the Chief Executive for engagements through briefing materials, background research, agendas, read-aheads, and post-meeting action tracking.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the executive office, managing correspondence and triaging inbound requests from customers, investors, board members, and government stakeholders.
- Draft, review, and edit executive correspondence, internal communications, and board-level materials.
- Coordinate board and investor meeting logistics, including materials preparation, scheduling, and follow-up.
- Track commitments and decisions made in the executive office and drive follow-through across the leadership team.
- Handle confidential commercial, legal, and personnel matters with absolute discretion.
Qualifications
- Education: Juris Doctor (JD) or Master of Business Administration (MBA) required.
Required Skills
- 10+ years supporting C-suite or equivalent senior executives, or in a comparable professional role requiring independent judgment, confidentiality, and executive-level written output.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex calendars, international travel, and competing executive priorities.
- Experience preparing senior executives for board, investor, or senior customer engagements.
- Track record of handling confidential and sensitive information without exception.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in defense, national security, aerospace, or another regulated industry.
- Prior experience in a law firm, investment bank, management consultancy, or comparable high-tempo professional environment.
- Chief of Staff, Executive Business Partner, or equivalent scope beyond traditional administrative support.
- Active or recent U.S. security clearance.
- Experience supporting a founder-led or rapidly scaling company.
