Job Description
About Log
Log is an AI-powered taste graph and social discovery platform built for Gen Z and college students. We passively capture real-world behavioral signals and weight them by trusted network connections to surface personalized recommendations, handle bookings, and auto-log experiences. We’re a three-person founding team (From Stanford and Berkeley, CEO ex-Fizz, CTO ex-Aware, CPO ex-Meta).
We’re looking for a student who wants real ownership over how a consumer social startup looks, feels, and shows up online. You’ll be helping create our brand direction.
What You’ll Do
- Help develop Log’s brand book: color system, logo refinement, typography, visual identity guidelines
- Give ideas on UX/UI direction for the app — help translate brand identity into product surfaces alongside our CPO
- Help execute social media strategy: content calendar, platform strategy (TikTok/Instagram focus), and campus-level content that resonates with Gen Z
- Pitch original creative concepts: campaigns, visual directions, content formats.
- Work directly with the founding team in-person in NYC; this is a hybrid internship
Minimum Requirements
- Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student
- Portfolio or work samples demonstrating design skill (brand identity, UI/UX, or content design)
- Available to work hybrid in New York City on a part-time schedule.
- Active, fluent user of the social platforms relevant to Gen Z (TikTok, Instagram) with an eye for what performs and why
What We’re Looking For
- High agency — you see a gap and fill it without waiting to be told
- Strong opinions about design and brand, held loosely enough to iterate fast
- Genuine interest in consumer social and early-stage startups, not just resume-building
- Comfortable with ambiguity — we’re building this in real time and priorities shift
Why This Role
You’ll have direct, unfiltered access to the founding team and real authorship over brand decisions that will define how Log looks as we scale. This is an hourly ($17/hr or happy to help apply for university credit) 8-week internship, but the tradeoff is speed and ownership, and potential full-time opportunities down the line.
To Apply
Submit a resume and portfolio/work samples. Please include a brief note on why consumer social/brand work interests you.
