About Us
The London Osteopathic Society (LOS) provides high-quality Continuing Professional Development (CPD) events and a supportive community for Osteopaths and Osteopathy Students . We run 4–5 major events a year—split evenly between in-person and online formats —to keep professionals and future practitioners connected, informed, and compliant.
The Opportunity
Are you looking to kickstart your career in marketing, build a stellar portfolio, and get real-world experience with an integrated marketing technology stack?
We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive Volunteer All-Rounder Marketer to help us manage our digital presence and event campaigns. This is a highly flexible, remote volunteer role where your workload is tied directly to our event cycles (4–5 times a year).
What’s in it for you?
You will not be thrown into the deep end! You will receive comprehensive onboarding, mentorship, and support from the leadership team:
- Strategic Guidance: The Chairman of the Society will personally guide you through how our existing tools have been implemented, how they integrate, and how the system has successfully worked so far.
- 1-on-1 Marketing Training: You will receive direct mentorship from a senior marketing expert with over 6 years of industry experience and a Master’s in Digital Marketing (graduated with Distinction from Middlesex University, London).
- Committee Support: You will collaborate closely with our committee members, who will provide you with all the core information, event details, and assets needed to do the job effectively.
Beyond marketing, you will get hands-on training on the operational side of running digital events (setting up Zoom meetings/webinars, testing links, and managing live functionalities).
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
You will support the team during our active event periods by managing our automated event engine:
- Email Marketing: Craft engaging email campaigns on Mailchimp, schedule timely reminders, and analyse post-campaign performance data to see what worked.
- Event Creation: Set up and manage our CPD events on Eventbrite for both our in-person and online formats.
- Online Event Coordination: Set up and configure the digital portion of our events on Zoom, testing links and system functionalities beforehand to ensure a flawless attendee experience.
- MarTech Integration: Learn how our stack connects! You’ll work with Join It (our membership management software), which automatically syncs and drives data across Mailchimp, Zoom, and Eventbrite.
- Social Media & Content: Create eye-catching visual posts using Canva to promote upcoming events across our channels.
- Innovation: Bring your own creativity! Any fresh ideas to improve our reach, layout, or processes are highly welcomed.
Who You Are (Requirements)
- An aspiring marketer, student, or recent graduate eager to gain practical, hands-on experience.
- Familiar with or excited to learn tools like Mailchimp, Canva, Eventbrite, Zoom, and Join It.
- Reliable, organised, and able to manage your time effectively around our event schedules.
- Good written communication skills with an eye for detail.
- A proactive attitude—you aren’t afraid to propose new ideas, collaborate with a committee, or ask questions.
Time Commitment
- Remote-only.
- This is a cyclical role. Your support will be needed primarily in the weeks leading up to and immediately following our events (which run 4–5 times a year).
How to Apply
