Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager to oversee excavation projects from start to finish. This role will be responsible for managing crews in the field, coordinating project timelines, and preparing accurate estimates. The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, and confident leading teams in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee daily job site operations
- Lead and coordinate field crews to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently
- Prepare and submit project estimates and bids
- Review project plans, specifications, and schedules
- Communicate with clients, vendors, and subcontractors
- Monitor project progress, budgets, and timelines
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards
- Problem-solve issues that arise in the field
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in excavation, construction, or a related field
- Proven experience in a Project Manager or leadership role
- Strong knowledge of grading, foundation prep, and underground utility installation
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and site plans
- Experience with estimating and job costing preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once
