Network DevOps Engineer (Thousand Eyes, CRD, Eagle, Claude AI)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Network DevOps Engineer with a strong foundation in Enterprise Networking and hands-on experience in Network Automation, Infrastructure as Code, and DevOps practices . This role is ideal for a Network Engineer who has evolved into a NetDevOps professional and is passionate about automating network operations across hybrid on-premises and Microsoft Azure environments.

The ideal candidate will be stronger on networking than DevOps , with the ability to automate upgrades, configuration management, compliance validation, and operational workflows using Python, Terraform, Azure DevOps, Claude AI, and GitHub Copilot . This role requires close collaboration with existing Network Engineers to modernize and automate network operations through code.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop network automation solutions for software upgrades, configuration management, compliance validation, and remediation.
• Build and maintain Python and Terraform-based automation frameworks.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps for automated network deployments and validation.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot to accelerate automation development and operational workflows.
• Collaborate with Network Engineering teams to convert manual operational processes into automated, scalable solutions.
• Automate and integrate with platforms including Cisco Catalyst Center, Nexus Dashboard, SD-WAN vManage, Azure Resource Manager, F5, ThousandEyes, and Forward Networks.
• Support and troubleshoot enterprise Cisco routing, switching, SD-WAN, firewalls, wireless infrastructure, and F5 load balancers.
• Design, deploy, and support Azure networking solutions using Infrastructure as Code methodologies.
• Implement ThousandEyes monitoring and Forward Networks validation workflows.
• Serve as a Tier-2 escalation resource for complex network incidents and root cause analysis.
• Participate in after-hours on-call support and change management activities.

Required Qualifications

• 3–6+ years of Enterprise Network Engineering experience with recent NetDevOps or Network Automation experience.
• Strong expertise in Cisco technologies including:
• Routing & Switching
• OSPF, BGP, EIGRP
• VLANs, STP
• HSRP/VRRP
• QoS
• Hands-on experience with:
• Python
• Terraform
• Azure DevOps
• Azure Networking
• REST API integrations
• Cisco SD-WAN
• Cisco Firepower/FTD
• Cisco Wireless
• Experience automating infrastructure through Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong troubleshooting and operational support experience in large enterprise environments.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.

Highly Preferred

• Financial Services technology experience with exposure to:
• CRD
• Eagle
• Bloomberg
• Similar investment management platforms
• ThousandEyes deployment and monitoring experience ( strong requirement ).
• Cisco DevNet, CCNP Enterprise, or related certifications.
• Experience with Forward Networks, Catalyst Center, Nexus Dashboard, Forescout, Cisco ISE, or Aruba ClearPass.
• Exposure to AIOps, MCP integrations, LLM-assisted infrastructure automation, VXLAN/EVPN, Nexus 9000, Zero Trust, or Micro-Segmentation initiatives.

Highly important Skills:

• Looking for a person who is more Network with some DevOps automation end. Heavier on network than DevOps.
• .Candidate should be network-focused first , with strong automation and Infrastructure-as-Code capabilities.
• Experience using Claude AI and GitHub Copilot is expected.
• Financial Services experience is highly desirable, particularly exposure to CRD, Eagle, Bloomberg, or similar platforms .
