Application C++ Developer (Generalist)

Location: Montreal, QC (Hybrid – Flexible Office Schedule)

Duration: 6 month Contract with Strong Potential for Extension

Pay Rate: $59.59 (T4 only)

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design, develop, and enhance high-performance applications, features, components, and plugins using C++ .
• Build and maintain cross-platform software that runs seamlessly across Windows, macOS, and Linux .
• Develop automation tools and scripts using Python to improve workflows and development efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineers across multiple teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Manage source code using Git/GitHub while following modern software development best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to secure, scalable, and maintainable software.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and software delivery processes using industry-standard tooling.
• Work with package management and artifact repositories to streamline application deployment.

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an Application Developer or Software Developer.
• Strong professional experience developing complex applications in C++ .
• Solid scripting experience using Python (or a similar scripting language).
• Experience developing cross-platform applications for:
• Windows
• macOS
• Linux
• Strong experience with Git/GitHub version control.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills .
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.

Nice to Have

Experience with any of the following is considered a strong asset:

• CI/CD and orchestration tools such as Jenkins
• Artifact/package management tools such as Artifactory, NuGet, or Conan
• Secure coding practices and security scanning tools including Black Duck or Gara Sign
• Experience working on large-scale engineering products or enterprise software
