Senior Software Engineer I (Java Backend) Bengaluru

The Role

• We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer I – Java Backend with deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, AWS Cloud, and System Design.
• The role focuses on building scalable backend applications and cloud-native services while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
• Lead backend service development and API implementation.
• Drive system design discussions and architecture reviews.
• Develop cloud-native solutions using AWS services.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and technical guidance.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with strong Java backend development expertise.
• Strong expertise in Core Java (Java 8/11/17+).
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Security.
• Extensive experience building Microservices-based applications.
• Strong understanding of REST API design and integration.
• Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, CloudWatch, and API Gateway.
• Knowledge of software design principles and design patterns.
• Experience with MySQL/PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong debugging and performance optimization skills.

System Design Expectations

• Ability to design backend services and APIs for maintainability and scalability.
• Experience making architectural decisions for microservices-based applications.
• Understanding of database design, API contracts, service communication, and application performance.
• Ability to evaluate trade-offs and propose practical technical solutions.
