Wordpress Developer

Skill Development Council (SDC) Karachi is seeking a skilled and motivated WordPress Developer to join our growing digital team. This role is ideal for a professional with hands-on experience in WordPress development who is passionate about building responsive, secure, and high-performing websites.

The successful candidate will work closely with our marketing and technical teams to develop, maintain, and optimize websites that support our digital initiatives, improve user experience, and contribute to our organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities

* Design, develop, and maintain WordPress websites with a strong focus on performance, security, and scalability.

* Develop and customize WordPress themes and plugins based on project requirements.

* Build responsive, mobile-friendly, and user-centric websites.

* Work extensively with Elementor and WooCommerce to create functional and engaging web experiences.

* Troubleshoot website issues and implement effective technical solutions.

* Optimize website speed, SEO readiness, and overall user experience.

* Integrate third-party APIs, plugins, and web services when required.

* Ensure websites follow modern web development standards and best practices.

* Collaborate with designers, marketers, and project stakeholders to deliver high-quality projects within deadlines.

* Maintain website security, backups, and regular updates.

Required Qualifications

* 2–3 years of hands-on experience in WordPress development.

* Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL.

* Experience working with Elementor and WooCommerce.

* Experience developing or customizing WordPress themes and plugins.

* Strong understanding of responsive web design principles.

* Familiarity with website performance optimization and debugging techniques.

* Knowledge of version control systems (Git) will be considered an advantage.

* Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

* Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.

* Experience with Custom Post Types (CPT), ACF, and custom plugin development.

* Basic understanding of technical SEO best practices.

* Experience with website migrations and hosting environments.

* Familiarity with REST APIs and third-party integrations.
