Job Description
You’ll build TerraBot’s intelligence layer — connecting multimodal models, learned policies and AI agents to a real robot, so it can understand its surroundings, take high-level instructions and act reliably in the physical world.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
Connect LLMs, VLMs and learned models to real robot capabilities
Turn high-level instructions into plans, tool calls and executable robot tasks
Build agent systems for task decomposition, replanning and failure recovery
Optimise on-board inference for latency, memory and edge compute
Validate AI capabilities on real robots with the robotics and embedded teams
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Strong Python and software engineering fundamentals
Hands-on PyTorch and modern deep-learning systems
Experience integrating LLMs, VLMs or other multimodal models into real applications
Comfort building reliable software around non-deterministic models
Interest in physical AI that works outside a controlled lab
PREFERRED
Vision-language-action models or robotic foundation models
Imitation learning, diffusion policies, or RL
Quantisation, distillation, ONNX or TensorRT
ROS 2, Isaac Sim or Gazebo
Deploying ML on robots or edge devices
