What you’ll be doing…
You will be building, optimizing, and deploying state-of-the-art agentic AI/ML models and systems within the Verizon Consumer Group (VCG) AI team. Applying hands-on technical expertise, you will be implementing next-generation customer success, sales, and digital agent solutions that directly impact how millions of customers interact with Verizon. Working as part of a high-performing squad, you will turn architectural designs into production-grade code while ensuring reliability, performance, and scale.
- Developing, testing, and scaling agentic AI/ML solutions, specialized workflows, and LLM-powered systems for VCG platforms.
- Integrating AI agent frameworks with existing customer success, digital, and retail channel technologies.
- Collaborating with product managers and GTS engineering teams to implement and iterate on production-grade technical roadmaps.
- Participating in engineering code reviews, technical design sessions, and red-teaming exercises to ensure safe and reliable model behaviors.
- Optimizing model inference pipelines, API endpoints, and data integration layers to meet high-performance consumer demands.
- Assisting in technical research and rapid prototyping to quickly evaluate and implement emerging open-source and proprietary AI frameworks.
- Contributing to the documentation of technical specifications and creating materials to showcase pilot performance results
**Where you’ll be working…**

What we’re looking for…
You thrive on working with complex data and translating it into scalable solutions. Detail-oriented and driven by high-impact outcomes, you prioritize data quality, model precision, and rigorous evaluation. You are a self-driven engineer who can architect pipelines and deploy models independently under tight timelines, always focused on leveraging AI to directly enhance customer experiences
You’ll need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
- Four or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience.
- One or more years of hands-on experience building and tuning AI/ML models or integrating LLM applications.
- Experience with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile).
- Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of standard AI/ML tooling, orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, AutoGen), and software engineering best practices.
- Knowledge of systems and tools like ACSS, Optix, POS, CTI, WorkHub, Performance management Tools, existing AI integrations, and Verint.
- Experience with API design and development.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS, Azure) and cloud-native technologies.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, meet deadlines, and simultaneously work on multiple projects.
If Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every “even better” qualification listed above.
