The Role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer I – Java Backend with deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices Architecture, AWS Cloud, and System Design. This role requires a highly skilled engineer who can design, develop, and scale distributed backend systems that power mission-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices Architecture.
• Lead the end-to-end design and implementation of distributed systems and cloud-native services.
• Drive system design discussions, architecture reviews, and technical decision-making across teams.
• Build highly available, fault-tolerant, and resilient applications capable of handling large-scale traffic and data volumes.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures following industry best practices.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, security, and reliability through architectural improvements.
• Develop cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services such as EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, CloudWatch, and API Gateway.
• Implement and enforce software engineering best practices including code quality, design patterns, test automation, and CI/CD.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Identify bottlenecks, troubleshoot production issues, and implement preventive measures.
• Contribute to database design, data modeling, caching strategies, and performance optimization.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 7+ years focused on Java backend development.
• Strong expertise in Core Java, including Collections, Concurrency, Multithreading, JVM Internals, Memory Management, and Performance Tuning.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security, and REST API development.
• Proven experience designing and implementing Microservices-based architectures.
• Strong understanding of System Design principles, including:

• Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Platform and cloud-native application development.

• Strong expertise in relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, including query optimization and database design.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized deployments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
