Software Test Engineer (Junior/Middle)

ROLE: SOFTWARE TEST ENGINEER (MANUAL / AUTOMATION)

📍 Working Location: District 3, Ho Chi Minh City (Onsite)

Job Summary

We are looking for a Software Test Engineer with 2+ years of experience in Manual and/or Automation Testing to join our banking projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring software quality through test planning, execution, defect management, and continuous improvement of testing processes.

Candidates with experience in Banking or Financial Services are highly preferred.

Responsibilities

1. Manual Testing job

• Analyze business and system requirements to create comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
• Execute functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.
• Identify, document, and track defects using defect management tools.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, and Product Owners to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
• Participate in requirement reviews and ensure product quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

2. Automation Testing job

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications and APIs.
• Execute automated test suites and analyze test results.
• Maintain and improve automation frameworks to increase test efficiency and coverage.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines when applicable.
• Continuously enhance testing processes and automation strategies.

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in Software Testing (Manual and/or Automation Testing).
• Experience working on Banking or Financial Services projects.
• Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience creating test plans, test cases, and defect reports.
• Experience with API testing using Postman or similar tools.
• Familiarity with SQL for data validation and testing.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• For Automation Testing, experience with automation tools or frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Katalon, or similar is an advantage.
• Experience with defect tracking and project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience testing Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, Core Banking, Payment, Lending, or other financial systems.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test automation integration.
• ISTQB or other testing certifications are a plus.
• English communication skills are a plus.
