Construction Project Manager Assistant (Indiana)

We are currently seeking a Construction Project Manager Assistant to add to our Goyette Mechanical Construction Division in Northern Indiana area.

Specifically, we are looking for local candidates with a construction background and/or experience in construction management or mechanical project management.

This is a full-time, non-union salaried position with benefits.

o Hobert, Indiana

• • Construction background or experience in Construction Management or mechanical project management.
• • Previous HVAC/R Mission Critical experience.
• • Ability to read, interpret, and troubleshoot plans and blueprints.
• • Sound organizational skills with strong data and document management abilities.
• • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work based on deadlines; excellent time management skills are necessary to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
• • Attention-to-detail and accuracy are highly critical in this role.
• • Must be able to foster and support a teamwork environment, placing a high emphasis on excellent customer service.
• • Dependable, adaptable, and proactive with good interpersonal skills.
• • Solid verbal and written communication with a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Preferred Candidate Qualifications:

• • Previous or similar Mission Critical Assistant PM or PE experience.
• • Previous experience as a construction Assistant PM or construction Project Engineer.
• • Bachelor’s in Construction Management or related field/experience.
• • Software experience: ProCore, Hammertech, BluBeam, Revit, Navisworks.
• Work closely with a construction project manager(s) as part of a cohesive PM team.
• Assist with construction materials ordering, scheduling, organization, and communication with construction partners.
• Process RFI’s, change orders, submittals and maintain a respective logs.
• Coordinate and proactively follow-up on RFI’s, material procurement, change orders, cost tracking and manage communications.
• Purchase miscellaneous materials and equipment needed for projects including requesting quotes, writing purchase orders, maintaining a purchase order log, and approving invoices.
• Track and follow-up on delivery dates for major equipment and material purchase orders.
• Maintain log of extra work performed by subcontractors.
• Ensure purchase order, submittal, and other construction documentation is properly organized and maintained for record.
• Position may at times maintain a presence at a jobsite trailer, including administrative duties, ordering/organizing jobsite trailer supplies and assisting visitors.
• Assist the project managers, superintendents, foreman, commissioning team, safety technicians, and other partners with their tasks, as needed.
