Job Description
About Raijin
Raijin is an agentic trading platform for investors. People describe an investment strategy, and our system turns it into a real, backtestable trading agent that operates within the person’s own linked brokerage accounts. It’s a product where design has to do something hard: make sophisticated, high-stakes financial tooling feel clear, trustworthy, and genuinely enjoyable to use.
The product works and launched recently. What we want next is for it to look and feel as sharp as it is under the hood. That’s where you come in.
Raijin AI, Inc. is a registered investment adviser (RIA) with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), emphasizing regulatory compliance and investor protection. Raijin focuses on making AI-driven investment strategies accessible and user-friendly for a broad range of clients. The company is backed by ERA NYC (Entrepreneurs Roundtable Accelerator).
The role
You’ll own product UI/UX - the actual screens, flows, and interactions people use every day. You’ll work directly with the founders, ship real work to real users, and see your designs go live. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role designed to teach you what product design looks like inside a fast-moving startup.
The role is currently an unpaid internship.
What you’ll work on
- Redesigning core in-app screens and user flows for clarity and polish
- Building the beginnings of a proper design system: components, type, color, spacing
- Turning complex data (strategies, backtests, portfolios) into interfaces people understand
- Improving onboarding so a new user “gets it” in their first two minutes
What you’ll get out of it
This is an unpaid internship, so we’re upfront that the value to you is experience and growth. Concretely:
- Real portfolio pieces
- shipped product work you can show
- Direct mentorship from the founders on UX research
- End-to-end ownership of features from idea to live
- References and recommendation to other firms in the industry
- Flexibility
- this role is remote, and there’s no strict hours.
Who you are
- You are interested in learning UX Research to gather insights, test hypotheses, and validate design decisions
- You understand UI/UX fundamentals: hierarchy, spacing, typography, contrast, states
- You care about the details most people skip: alignment, empty states, error states, micro-interactions
- Bonus: interest in fintech, AI, trading, machine-learning, or data-heavy products
- Bonus: You have a portfolio (school projects, personal projects, or freelance) that shows an eye for clean, modern interfaces
You do not need to be a professional or have shipped a product before. We care about taste , hunger , and your willingness to learn .
Logistics
- Commitment: Flexible
- Location: fully remote
- Compensation: unpaid; structured entirely around mentorship, learning, portfolio-building, and future references/referrals
