Specialty Lead Software Engineer SAP RE-FX (ECC and S/4 HANA)

About this role:

• Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Specialty Software Engineer.

In this role, you will:

• Lead complex initiatives on selected domains
• Ensure systems are monitored to increase operational efficiency and managed to mitigate risk
• Define opportunities to maximize resource utilization and improve processes while reducing cost
• Lead, design, develop, test and implement applications and system components, tools and utilities, models, simulation, and analytics to manage complex business functions using sophisticated technologies
• Resolve coding, testing and escalated platform issues of a technically challenging nature
• Lead team to ensure compliance and risk management requirements for supported area are met and work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives
• Mentor less experienced software engineers
• Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including managers
• Lead team to achieve objectives
• Partner with production support and platform engineering teams effectively

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Job Expectation:

• Lead the strategy, evaluation, and resolution of highly complex, enterprisewide challenges by delivering longterm, scalable solutions that require vision, innovation, and advanced analytical thinking
• Assess and recommend emerging technologies and products to automate Embedded IT controls, processes, and reporting
• This role requires strong functional configuration skills, an understanding of endtoend real estate processes, and the ability to collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and cross-functional SAP modules
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design integrated business processes. Must have worked on supporting multiple integrated applications, Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues across modules
• Implement and support FASB 842 & IFRS16 lease accounting compliance within RE-FX(CLREM)
• Lead or support Business Partner (BP) conversion activities during S/4HANA transformations.
• Provide guidance on best practices for S/4HANA Real Estate Management
• Design, configure, test, debug, and document SAP functional services, APIs, and integration components using SAP frameworks, with a strong emphasis on handson delivery
• Design business workflows and configure BAPIs and services that enable reliable, secure, and scalable integrations between internal systems, SaaS platforms, and external partners
• Engineer and support data movement and integration solutions, including synchronous and asynchronous patterns, data transformations, and reliable delivery across systems and platforms
• Lead projects, technical workstreams, or serve as a peer mentor, including configuration reviews, design reviews, and coaching engineers on SAP Functional Modules, integration, testing, configuration, and data best practices
• Lead the testing efforts ensuring the quality deliverables are deployed in alignment with the business needs
• Work closely with business teams to gather requirements and provide functional expertise, Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications
• Ensure solutions adhere to organizational standards, governance, and compliance frameworks
• Prepare training materials and deliver knowledge transfer to end-users and support teams
• Review and analyze complex, largescale technology solutions in support of tactical and strategic business objectives, considering enterprise business enablement needs, integration patterns, data flow, resiliency, and security requirements
• Serve as a subjectmatter expert to functional teams, system administrators, architects, and developers in designing, configuring the target solutions and applying industry best practices
• Identify and champion innovations that enhance operational efficiency or create competitive advantage for Embedded IT and the broader organization as a shared services provider
• Perform handson engineering work, including designing, configuring, testing, debugging, and documenting solutions for projects and programs
